Description of Research

The NESARC survey is used as a context to explore problems with SBI standards development. There is an attempt made at a more critical analysis of the limitations of AUD screening in the hospital and primary care setting. The scientific basis of disease screening is discussed and selected candidate screening instruments are reviewed to illustrate inplimentation problems that are likely to be encountered in the field.
